Project History:

One of our Students, Silvin Dolius have a Thalasemia, He is 7 years Old, he is one of our smartest year 1 student .

Every Month he have to go to Hospital Likas to get blood suply to continue his life. But the blood he got, sometimes is not enough for a month. So here we are the SK. Giok's Family. We are going to find blood Suplier for him and also for the others.
Beside that we are also love to dedicate to all the communities aroud us. That is why this Program Conducted.

Project Objectives:

• To help Tuaran or Kota Belud district Hospital to get Blood supplier and help them to save more people.


• To implant a cleaner value to all the participant ( Over 20 Village and 10 Primary school ( Rural area school ) will be invited to join this program.


• And the most important is to create a closer relationship between all the villagers, Teachers and community all around Pekan Nabalu.


• Beside the donating blood, all the community can visit SKGCC Corner to learn indirect ICT Knowledge.

July 13,2007 - The invitation letter to join the competition were just recieved.

July 17, 2007 - Start to planing & drafting for suitable project.

July 20, 2007 - Meeting and presenting the proposal to the headmaster and made discussion with all teachers.

July 24, 2007 - Start creating and drafting the web/ Blog to be used to display the proposal.

August 1st, 2007 - Submit the proposal and registration form

August 30, 2007 - Received the news, Proposal been Accepted.

Sept 14 . 2007 - The team were just submit the Bank Draft.

Oct 1st. 2007 - Project Organizer members, meeting ( task been given to each teacher)

Oct 4th. 2007 - The meeting with all SKGCC member- With student's parent. ( To give instruction for their position in this project)

Oct 5th. 2007 - The letter to Queen Elizabeth Hospital Kota Kinabalu was Handed . ( Submited by Mr. Jaafreddy ). and the respond was absolutely encourage .

( We have commited to choose QEH KK to come collecting our blood supply because our student get his blood supply from QEH KK )

Oct 11. 2007 - Submit the letter, proposal, and T-shirt Design, and logo to YB Datuk Madius Tangau's Office.

Oct 21st, 2007 - Drafting the Project banner

Oct 22nd, 2007 - first day, Radio inform. Radio Sabah VFM - in Kadazan and Dusun Language. ( Will be continued until the program day )

- Went to Colourland advertisement printing to print the banner at Kota Kinabalu .

Oct 23rd, 2007 - The Program on radio,

-Distributed invitation letters to 37 schools at Tamparuli District, 28 Villages, 6 letters to ask dedication from Shops owner. - Letters Completed!

- Take the Printed banner, and Hang it up, - Banner completed!

The Project Will be conducted after the Ramadan Month.

Oct 25th. 2007- (1st Suggestion date for the Project).

Oct 28th and 29th, 2007- we recieved the sponsor from Kedai Runcit P.J Enterprise, and Kedai Runcit Suichin. a Big thanks for them.

Project Report

Donating Blood-

The Arrival of HQE blood fund Team.- at 10 am, ( encounter problem on their way here -Facing flood at Telipok ) - they travel from KK to here, for about 150 kilometer something to reach the blood donator, Congratulation for them.

left; prepare all the equipment, instrument for the donator. right; Mr. Jaafreddy Sinteh was the first person signing the donator form- but so sad, been rejected, himoglobin was not enough,- tired manage the project. tidak cukup tidur lah... hehehe (alasan).

Wilton Amat - The first accepted Blood donator, "relax saja brother ni" ni memang penderma setia. pictures the steps tested by the officer before success to donate, 1. Isi borang, 2. Test tekanan darah, 3. test himoglobin 4. Check jenis darah. We are also can see the RTM shooting Willton . For information Daily Express, Berita Harian reporter, and RTM were with us for this Program.

A Grandmother patient in waiting for her turn, then finally.. seronok pula kena urut ya. This is a big dedication for us to them. it was a free servis in this program, some of them with kind, gave money with honesty even we not ask them to pay any.

Cleaning the area. Thuesday is Tamu at pekan nabalu so there were a lot of rubbish, all of the SKGCC and SK Giok pupils working together picking the rubbish.

Sama-sama kita bergotong-royong "yang berat kamu angkat yang ringan biar saya yang buat ... hehehehe... "

Post-Moterm

Reflection :

Sebelum program ini bermula terdapat beberapa rintangan yang kami hadapi:

1. Oleh kerana sekolah kami cuma mempunyai 5 orang guru termasuk guru besar, jadi amat banyak urusan yang perlu dibahagi-bahagikan. Oleh kerana guru sedikit kerja atau tanggungjawab yang dipikul oleh seorang guru amat banyak.
2. Bulan September, Oktober, dan November merupakan bulan yang paling sibuk bagi warga pendidik, ditambah lagi dengan UPSR, dan hampir semua guru adalah mengajar pelajar tahun 6. serta bulan ini merupakan bulan peperiksaan. hehe semuanya cabaran.
3. Kerja sekolah, laporan sekolah , laporan peringkat daerah, dan tanggung jawab lain.
4. Cabaran lain ialah, ini merupakan kali pertama kami menganjurkan kempen menderma darah dan belum ada pengalaman untuk itu.
5. Kempen menderma darah seperti ini merupakan yang pertama di tempat ini dan ia merupakan kejutan bagi penduduk. ini juga cabaran yang telah dihadapi.
6. Untuk kempen menderma darah ini, keputusan program ini sukar dijangka, pada awalnya kami sangat risau jika program ini tidak mendapat sambutan.

Tetapi Akhirnya... Berjaya juga dilaksanakan.

Kami Warga SK. Giok Tamparuli, sangat berterima kasih kepada Maxis kerana memberi dorongan kepada kami untuk melaksanakan khidmat masyarakat ini. Sebenarnya program ini sangat besar bagi kami. dan sukar bagi kami untuk melaksanakan tanpa dorongan dan kerjasama semua pihak.

jika dilihat dari segi kekuatan pelaksanaan program ini. kami sebagai sekolah yang bukan lagi kecil tetapi kerdil sangat berterima kasih atas kerjasama semua. walaupun SK. Giok ini cuma mempunyai 5 orang guru, 1 orang kerani dan 46 orang murid keseluruhan. tetapi kami bersyukur kerana dengan kesatuan kami dapat menjadi sesuatu yang kuat. tambahan dengan bantuan kelab SKGCC ibubapa, dan YB Datuk Wilfred Madius Tangau kami dapat berjaya melaksanakannya. Walaupun sibuk dengan persidangan di Parlimen ketika ini tetapi TABIK untuk YB kerana masih sanggup menemani dan menyokong kami.

Juanis Johnny, kerana semangat serta sokongan yang dicurahkan kepada kami, terima kasih kepada semua guru, Cikgu Hawang PK1, Cikgu Suzzane PK2, Cikgu Asni, dan saya sendiri Jaafreddy , walaupun bulan dan minggu ini sangat-sangat sibuk tetapi dapat mengera tenaga untuk menjayakan projek MEGA ini 6 dalam 1.

ini adalah kali pertama kempen menderma diadakan di tempat ini dan sangat menggalakkan.

3. kami telah mengedarkan borang penyertaan mengikuti ahli SKGCC, walaupun kelab ini belum berdaftar secara sahnya tetapi biarlah dengan satu kesatuan ini kami dapat berbakti serta membina hubungan yang lebih luas disamping menjadikan mereka juga sebahagian keluarga maxis.
4. Kami juga bercadang untuk melibatkan seberapa banyak masyarakat untuk menyahut seruan maxis bersama-sama berbakti.

Aktiviti terlaksana kesinambungan daripada program cyberlinq tahun lepas:

• Penggunaan makmal komputer SK. Giok kepada masyarakat setempat ( setiap hari khamis jam 2 petang ke jam 4 petang )
  
• Mengajar komputer bagi mereka yang belum mahir.
